St. Helen of the Cross Pastoral Council

What is a Pastoral Council?

The basic task of a pastoral council is to serve as a consultative body.  We offer advice in collaboration of the faithful in the development of pastoral activity for our Church.  The pastoral council assists our parish priest, who presides at the council, by offering their advice on pastoral matters.  The average is 15 members.  We currently have approximately 20 members serving on the Council.  They represent the various ministries of the Church.

The Pastoral Council meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month except for June, when there is no council meeting.

ACTION taken as a result of public comment regarding non agenda items will be limited to directing staff to study the matter or rescheduling the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date. SPEAKERS SHALL BE LIMITED TO THREE (3) MINUTES.
